Educator Preparation Program

Colorado College

Master of Arts in Teaching Initial Licensure Program

"During the duration of their teacher preparation students take education foundations coursework, educational psychology and at least one class focusing on diversity and equity in education, multicultural education or urban education. Students also engage directly with students in public school classrooms through progressively more intentional practicum experiences. In addition, students will have a solid depth and breadth of understanding in their chosen content area.

Successful students in our program reflect on their personal and professional dispositions, come equipped with excellent academic writing skills in order to complete a master's research project and understand the necessary dedication and time needed to complete an intense course load. Successful graduate students in our program are quick learners, self-sufficient, and have the ability to transfer and integrate new knowledge."
